Permissions explained

onisMusic uses the ACL from Joomla! for all the actions that can be done in the component. Below you will find the list with all the available actions and the description for each of them. The descriprion is for the action saved as "Allowed".

 Album - new  users can add new albums
 Album - do not moderate new album  users can add albums without administrator moderation
 Album - view  users can view albums
 Album - edit  users can edit albums, if own album or if user is administrator
 Album - delete  users can delete albums, if own album or if user is administrator
 Album - unlimited  users can add unlimited albums
 Album - add image  users can add album image, if own album or if user is administrator
 Album - view image  users can view albums image
 Album - add to gallery  users can add images to albums gallery
 Album - remove from gallery  users can remove images from albums gallery, if own album or if user is administrator
 Album - view gallery  users can view image gallery from albums
 Album - add comment  users can add comment on albums
 Album - rate comment  users can rate comment from albums
 Album - report comment  users can report comment from albums
 Album - view comment  users can view comment from albums

Installation

Before installing onisMusic, you can have a look at details about server's requirement.

To properly install onisMusic into your Joomla! installation, follow these steps:

  1. Log-in to your profile then go to My downloads and download the component to your computer;
  2. Extract the files from the main archive;
  3. On the administrator are of your site, go to Extensions->Manage;
  4. On the Upload package file tab, click browse, select the archive from the folder with the component on your computer and click Upload & Install;
  5. After installation is done you have to enable the following modules (on all pages, position does not matter):
    • onisMusic Ajax (site)
    • onisCore Ajax (site)
    • onisMusic Ajax Administrator (administrator)
    • onisCore Ajax Administrator (administrator)
Note! Go to Extensions->Plugins, and make sure that System - Oniscore is enabled;

Getting started

After a successfull installation, the menu for onisMusic now appears under Components tab on your administrator section of the site and can be managed from there:

The first thing to do after installation is to configure onisMusic. To do that click on Preferences.
